Creative Writing

The creative writing sessions have been facilitated by Mish. With different themes and prompts every time, members have had the opportunity to develop their writing skills and to set their imagination free! Some members are writers or poets in their country of origin and have shared their valuable experience with the group. Other members had never written anything before joining the group. Others had just started learning English. All of them, in their own unique style, incorporated elements of hope and resilience in their pieces of creative writing.

The idea of choosing ‘Hope’ as the theme of this exhibition came while speaking with members from this group. During this conversation, most of them were sharing how coming to this weekly writing session was giving them the energy and the hope to keep going, and that this was the reason why the themes of hope and resilience were often present in the stories they were writing.
