New Dreams was an exciting new collaboration between the Gate Theatre and Migrants Organise.

This digital exhibition was made in honour of Refugee Week 2021 featuring, art, podcasts, creative writing, and film, created in a series of workshops with Migrants Organise. It is a personal and moving celebration of identity, connection, creativity, activism and voices whose stories are rarely told.

Footsteps to Freedom
Writer/director Tyrell Williams led a series of filmmaking workshops with the group to explore how the medium of film can be used to support their activism and campaigns.
Led by Activities Coordinator, Rachel Hackler, the Migrants Organise Women's Group have created a series of podcasts to accompany their paintings entitled, ‘Footsteps to Freedom.’ In the podcasts, the women discuss their paintings, being part of the women’s group, and how they came to join Migrants Organise.
Writer and poet JJ Bola led the group through a series of workshops at Migrants Organise. The pieces are accompanied by audio files of the writers reading their work.
